Pfizer Commits To Physician Payment Disclosures

Law360, New York (February 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. announced that it would start disclosing payments it makes to health care professionals for consulting, speaking engagements and clinical trials.

The New York-based company said Monday that it would start the practice next year, and would include payments made to practicing U.S. physicians and other health care providers, as well as principal investigators, major academic institutions and research sites for clinical research.
