Enviros Fight DOE Approval Of LNG Exports At DC Circ.

Law360, New York (December 1, 2016, 9:13 PM EST) -- The Sierra Club on Wednesday urged the D.C. Circuit to strike down approvals for natural gas export projects in Texas and Louisiana, saying the U.S. Department of Energy should have analyzed the environmental impacts of climate change and new gas production sparked by the projects.

The environmental advocacy group made the arguments in opening briefs in two appeals challenging the DOE approvals, one for Cheniere Energy Inc.’s proposed Sabine Pass liquefied natural gas terminal in Louisiana and the other over its proposed Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project...
