EU To Fine Samsung, Korean Air For Cartels: Report

Law360 (February 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The European Union is reportedly preparing to take legal action against Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Korean Air Lines Co. Ltd. for their alleged participation in dynamic random access memory chip and air cargo price-fixing cartels, respectively.

Samsung is expected to plead guilty or reach a settlement with the EU for allegedly fixing the price of dynamic random access memory chips, the Dong-A Ilbo Daily reported Tuesday, citing anonymous industry sources and government officials.
