Bristol-Myers, IBM Agree To $14M Superfund Cleanup

Law360 (February 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., General Electric Co., IBM Corp. and Pass & Seymour Inc. have agreed to spend an estimated $14 million cleaning up a former chemical waste recovery facility in upstate New York.

According to a complaint and accompanying consent decree filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, the defendants sent waste solvents, paint wastes and other waste chemicals to the site in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
