Patent Licensers Bury Hatchet With ASUSTeK

Law360 (February 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has granted a joint motion to dismiss a case brought by two patent-licensing companies against computer products maker ASUSTeK Computer Inc. over a patent describing a high-performance, low-cost microprocessor.

In the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday, Judge T. John Ward agreed to dismiss without prejudice the case brought by plaintiffs Technology Properties Limited Inc. and Patriot Scientific Corp.

All matters in controversy have been settled and compromised, the parties said. Details of the settlement were not made...
