Deals Rumor Mill: 21st Century Fox, Lonza, Sabeco

By Benjamin Horney (December 12, 2016, 5:58 PM EST) -- Twenty-First Century Fox Inc. hopes to this week put forth a cash offer for British telecom giant Sky PLC worth roughly $14.1 billion, Reuters reported on Monday. According to the report, a £10.75 ($13.50) per share offer under which Rupert Murdoch-owned Twenty-First Century Fox would acquire the 61 percent of Sky it does not already own is expected by as soon as Wednesday. The two companies have reached an agreement on the terms of the deal, the report said, and once the offer is officially made it will have to be approved by 75 percent of Sky's independent shareholders.
