House Passes Water Conservation Bills

Law360 (February 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. House of Representatives passed a pair of bills Wednesday aimed at conserving water in connection with both oil and natural gas drilling and normal household use.

One of the bills, known as β€œThe Produced Water Utilization Act,” would create a research, development and demonstration program to promote the reuse of wastewater produced in connection with energy extraction.
