Law360, New York (February 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge in Kansas has approved a settlement agreement and dismissed a lawsuit accusing private prison operator Corrections Corp. of America of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act by willfully failing to pay corrections officers the federally mandated premium rate for overtime hours.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge John W. Lungstrom signed an order granting a joint motion from the plaintiffs and CCA to approve their settlement pact and dismiss the action with prejudice.
