Medtronic MDL Judge's Son Linked To Company

Law360 (February 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Attorneys for plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation over Medtronic Inc.’s Sprint Fidelis defibrillator leads may move to disqualify the judge because he failed to disclose that his son works for a law firm that has done work for Medtronic.

Judge Richard H. Kyle of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota said in an interview with Law360 on Friday that it didn’t cross his mind to mention that his son works for Fredrikson & Byron PA, which includes Medtronic among its clients.
