Watchdogs To Mull Over Legal Action Against Apple

Law360, New York (August 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- As Nordic consumer regulators gear up for a meeting in Iceland this month to consider potential litigation against Apple Computer Inc. over its controversial iTunes monopoly, some European antitrust attorneys have cautioned the regulators to tread these waters very carefully.

The meeting is set to take place in Reykjavik on Aug. 24-25 and will focus on how the consumer agencies should approach Apple over songs purchased at the iTunes online store that only play on the company’s iPod and not on any rival music players....
