Sypris Puts Pressure On Dana In Contract Dispute

Law360, New York (August 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sypris Technologies Inc., which provides over $200 million in parts a year to Dana Corp., wants a decision regarding its multi-million dollar contracts with the bankrupt auto parts supplier.

In court documents filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan, Sypris asked the judge for a motion that would require Dana to decide the fate of the contracts by Oct. 3.

The decision is simple, according to Sypris, because it has an agreement with Dana that stops it from purchasing parts from any other companies...
