Bayer Seeks To Block St. Vincent Rejection of Leases

Law360, New York (August 16, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bayer Corp. has asked a bankruptcy court to deny the bid by Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York to retroactively reject two equipment leases it has with the creditor.

Saint Vincent asked the court at the end of June to retroactively throw out the deals, in which Bayer leased equipment to two New York hospitals, Saint Mary’s Hospital of Brooklyn and Saint Joseph’s Hospital of Queens.
