PE Firm Run By Former Apollo Execs Gets $1B For 1st Fund

Law360, New York (January 4, 2017, 3:29 PM EST) -- Gamut Capital Management LP, a New York-based middle market private equity firm formed in 2015 by two former Apollo Global Management LLC executives, has closed its debut fund after raising $1 billion from limited partners, the firm said on Wednesday.

The fund, Gamut Investment Fund I LP, shot past its initial target of $750 million, according to a statement. The news confirms reports from September that said Gamut Capital had raised $1 billion for its inaugural fund.
