Judge Tentatively Nixes Carl Zeiss Lens Patent Suit

Law360 (February 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Finding that Carl Zeiss Vision Inc. could not establish standing in an infringement suit it filed against rival optical lens company Signet Armorlite Inc., a federal judge has tentatively granted Signet's motion to dismiss the complaint.

Judge Dana M. Sabraw of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California handed down an order tentatively dismissing Carl Zeiss' complaint with prejudice Wednesday, two days before a hearing on the motion was scheduled to take place.
