DOI To Hire 'Stimulus Czar' To Dole Out $3B

Law360 (February 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior will hire a “stimulus czar” to oversee the distribution of $3 billion in economic stimulus money, which is mostly funding renewable energy, job creation and the restoration of national landscapes.

On Friday, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar revealed the DOI's broad goals for its share of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which President Obama signed into law on Tuesday.
