Petron Files Antitrust Claims In Oil Well Patent Suit

Law360, New York (February 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Computerized drilling rig manufacturer Petron Industries Inc. has struck back at rival Key Energy Services Inc. in an infringement suit over patents for collecting data and conducting repairs in oil wells, accusing Key Energy of violating federal antitrust law and making fraudulent representations to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Petron lodged the counterclaims in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday, about three weeks after C.C. Forbes LLC, the other defendant in the case, filed its counterclaims against Key Energy....
