DirecTV, Licensing Co. Settle Channel Guide IP Suit

Law360 (February 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The DirecTV Group, the sole remaining defendant in a lawsuit over a patent for an electronic television program guide, has reached a settlement with plaintiff Technology Development and Licensing LLP and been dismissed from the suit.

Judge Roger L. Hunt of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada signed an order Thursday dismissing with prejudice all claims and counterclaims between DirecTV and Technology Development, writing that the parties had “agreed to settle, adjust and compromise all claims against each other in this case.”...
