Economic Crisis Hampers Push For GHG Regs

Law360 (February 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The economic downturn has not stopped the Obama administration from taking preliminary steps to fight climate change, but it will likely delay the passage of a comprehensive cap-and-trade bill until next year at the earliest, experts say.

Still completely up in the air, meanwhile, is what form that bill will take and whether in the absence of a bill the federal government will use its statutory authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.
