Supreme Court Nixes FTC Antitrust Suit V. Rambus

Law360, New York (February 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rejected the Federal Trade Commission's bid to revive its battle with computer chip maker Rambus Inc., ending a suit that alleged the company violated antitrust law by concealing information about its patents.

David Wales, acting director of the agency's Bureau of Competition, said in a statement that the FTC had hoped the high court would agree to hear the case and that the agency is "reviewing [its] options."
