Suit Seeks EPA Nominee's Emails With Fossil Fuel Industry

By Kat Sieniuc (February 7, 2017, 6:42 PM EST) -- A media watchdog group sued Environmental Protection Agency nominee Scott Pruitt in Oklahoma state court Tuesday in a bid to force him to hand over thousands of his emails with top fossil fuel industry players and their advocacy groups. 

The Center for Media and Democracy alleges that for more than two years, Pruitt, as Oklahoma attorney general, has shirked his state's Open Records Act by refusing to make public at least 3,000 official emails and other documents related to his communications with Koch Industries and various coal, oil and gas corporations — industries Pruitt would regulate if confirmed as EPA secretary....
