Calif. State Senator Introduces Sugary Drink Labeling Bill

Law360, New York (February 14, 2017, 7:41 PM EST) -- A California state senator has again proposed a bill that would require sugary beverages sold in the state to include health warning labels cautioning about the risk of obesity, diabetes and tooth decay, his office said Monday.

State Sen. Bill Monning, D-Carmel, has introduced SB 300 in an effort to fight public health problems associated with the consumption of beverages sweetened with sugar, according to a news release.
