Marine Hose Defendants Want Antitrust Claims Nixed

Law360 (March 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Pirelli SpA and two employees of Manuli Rubber Industries SpA, all defendants in the multidistrict litigation that alleges price-fixing in the marine hose industry, are seeking to toss the accusations against them, arguing that the plaintiffs have failed to allege any specific conduct in violation of the applicable antitrust statutes.

The three defendants moved for dismissal of the second amended consolidated class action complaint in separate motions filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
