Judge Greenlights OCA Shareholders' $6.5M Deal

Law360, New York (March 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has given final approval to a $6.5 million settlement between orthodontic and pediatric dental firm OCA Inc. and its shareholders, in a class action alleging the company misrepresented its financial status in 2004 and 2005.

In an order Monday, Judge Sarah S. Vance of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana also gave the green light for the plaintiffs' counsel to receive about $2 million in fees and expenses.
