Okla. Hospital Sued Over Baby’s Neurological Birth Injury

Law360, Los Angeles (March 10, 2017, 7:59 PM EST) -- An Oklahoma hospital is accused of providing reckless and grossly negligent maternity care that resulted in a baby’s permanent brain damage, according to a medical malpractice suit filed in Oklahoma federal court Thursday.

Texas residents Bradley Mulsow and Erika Mulsow, the parents of a child referred to in the complaint as T.E.M., claims that medical staff at Mercy Hospital Ardmore and Dr. Mark Melton, an obstetrician affiliated with Southern Oklahoma Women’s Health PC, provided negligent care to then-pregnant Erika Mulsow that resulted in severe injuries to son T.E.M., including permanent brain damage.
