Auto Industry, States Weigh In On Calif. Waiver

Law360, New York (March 5, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- As it continues to reverse course on a Bush-era decision, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is hearing from both the automobile industry and states on whether it should grant California's request to set its own stricter standards for vehicle emissions.

The EPA held a hearing in Arlington, Va., on Thursday to reconsider whether to grant the California Greenhouse Gas Waiver.
