Adelphia Family Handed More Money For Legal Fees

Law360 (August 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two members of the founding family of Adelphia Communications Corp. have been granted $600,000 from a company insurance policy to pay mounting legal fees related to their civil fraud case, according to court filings.

James P. Rigas and Michael J. Rigas requested the advancement from the company’s directors’ and officers’ liability insurance policies for legal defense costs on Aug. 11, according to court filings.
