Dow, Rohm Back In Talks Over Stalled $18.8B Merger

Law360 (March 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- With a trial over their stalled $18.8 billion merger set to begin Monday, Dow Chemical Co. and Rohm and Haas Co. said Friday they were in discussions over both the deal and the specialty chemical manufacturer’s breach-of-contract suit.

The two companies added that they could not predict the result of the talks and declined to comment further on the discussions in a joint statement.
