Judge Cuts Damages By $3M In Shure Earphone Case

Law360 (March 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A $4.6 million damage award against audio electronics company Shure Inc. in a patent suit over earphones has been cut to $1.4 million, after the judge overseeing the case ruled that the record didn't support a finding in favor of plaintiff Hearing Components Inc. with respect to Shure's “straight nozzle” products.
