$397M Judgment Proposed In Rambus, Hynix Case

Law360, New York (March 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A proposed final judgment in the long-running patent dispute between Rambus Inc. and Hynix Semiconductor Inc. would require Hynix to pay Rambus at least $397 million in damages as well as royalties on sales of Hynix products.

The proposed judgment was submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Monday and calls for Korea-based Hynix, which a jury found in 2006 had infringed Rambus' semiconductor patents, to pay $349 million in damages, along with at least $48 million in prejudgment interest....
