Dana Bids To Retain Skadden Arps As Special Counsel

Law360, New York (August 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Beleaguered auto supplier Dana Corp. has asked the bankruptcy court for permission to retain Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP as its special counsel throughout its Chapter 11 proceedings.

Dana filed the request on Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan, just six months after the Ohio-based manufacturer first entered bankruptcy protection.

If the bid is approved, D.J. Baker will front Skadden Arps’ efforts as the principal assigned to the case.
