Deals Rumor Mill: Toshiba, Indus Towers, Befesa Medio

By Benjamin Horney (March 31, 2017, 4:07 PM EDT) -- Silver Lake Partners LP and Broadcom Ltd. have partnered to propose an acquisition of Toshiba Corp.'s memory chip business that is worth about 2 trillion yen ($17.9 billion), Reuters reported on Friday. According to the report, there still are roughly 10 potential suitors interested in vying for the business, including the likes of Western Digital Corp., Micron Technology Inc. and SK Hynix Inc. The news comes just a few days after reports said SK Hynix had teamed up with Japanese financial institutions to put forth a more than $9 billion proposal to acquire a majority stake in the business....
