Ethanol Cap For Gasoline May Be Raised To 12%

Law360 (March 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency may soon raise the limit on ethanol content in gasoline from 10 percent to 12 percent or higher, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said Monday.

At a news conference, Vilsack said he had been talking with EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson about raising the cap to 12 percent or 13 percent immediately, which he said could be done with minimal review.
