Microsoft Reaches Deal In Cybersquatting Case

Law360 (March 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Microsoft Corp. has reached a settlement with domain name registrar OnlineNIC Inc., which Microsoft had accused of registering numerous domain names that infringe Microsoft trademarks.

Judge Marilyn Hall Patel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California signed off Monday on a joint stipulation of dismissal without prejudice that the two companies submitted in February. An attorney for Microsoft said Wednesday that the parties had reached a confidential settlement.
