Law360, New York (April 6, 2017, 3:36 PM EDT) -- General Electric Co. is considering a sale of its consumer-lighting business, according to a Thursday report from The Wall Street Journal. The company has been in talks with investment banks, and a divestiture of the business could bring in about $500 million, the report said. It is also possible General Electric decides not to go through with a sale of the unit, the report noted. The business generated about $2.2 billion in revenue last year alone, the report said.
