Ex-NY Pol, Doctors Charged In Medicare 'Pill Mill' Scheme

Law360, New York (April 7, 2017, 9:59 PM EDT) -- Thirteen individuals — including a former New York assemblyman — have been charged with carrying out a multimillion-dollar “pill mill” scheme that pushed 6.3 million painkillers to the black market and bilked Medicare and Medicaid with false reimbursement requests, New York City prosecutors and the Drug Enforcement Administration announced Friday.
