Mylan Denied Summary Judgment In Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (March 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused Mylan Laboratories Inc.'s bid to dismiss claims related to the anti-anxiety drug lorazepam in a lawsuit alleging the drugmaker conspired with competitors to inflate drug prices.

Judge Patti B. Saris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Wednesday denied Mylan's summary judgment motion in the suit with Massachusetts, rejecting the drugmaker's argument that a judgment in an earlier case barred the claims.
