Iowa House Approves Tweaked Bill To Cap Med Mal Damages

Law360, Los Angeles (April 13, 2017, 9:52 PM EDT) -- The Iowa House of Representatives on Wednesday voted to approve a tort reform bill to discourage medical malpractice suits after lawmakers agreed to remove the “hard cap” on noneconomic damages and allow the most egregious negligence cases to exceed $250,000.
