By Benjamin Horney ( April 14, 2017, 2:02 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. might partner with Foxconn Technology Group on a proposal to acquire Toshiba Corp.'s multibillion-dollar memory chip business, Reuters reported on Friday. According to the report, Apple could agree to commit several billion dollars to a deal that would see it and Foxconn pick up a stake of more than 20 percent in the business, with Toshiba keeping the rest. Rumors concerning the Toshiba business have been swirling for weeks, with reports just a few days ago saying that Broadcom Ltd. and Silver Lake Partners LP had placed the highest bid thus far, worth about 2.5 trillion yen ($23 billion). Other reported suitors include SK Hynix Inc. and Western Digital Corp....
