Denver Post Objects To Closure In Nacchio Hearing

Law360, New York (August 24, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Citing First Amendment rights to attend criminal proceedings, the Denver Post objected on Wednesday to its exclusion from a hearing in the insider trading case against Qwest Communications International Inc. chief executive Joseph Nacchio.

Prosecutors in the case asked the court last week to bar the public from part of the August 25 motions hearing because it could involve classified government information.
