Emageon Faces Shareholder Suit Over $39M Merger

Law360, New York (March 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Health care information technology provider Emageon Inc. has been targeted with a putative shareholder class action accusing its principals of breach of fiduciary duty in connection with a February merger agreement, the company revealed Friday.

Emageon is the target of a lawsuit in the Superior Court of Suffolk County, Mass., according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Law firm Zimmerman Levi & Korsinsky LLP confirmed that it filed the action Friday but declined to comment further.
