Apple Settles iTunes Patent Feud

Law360, New York (August 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Hot on the heels of Apple Computer Inc.’s stunning $100 million payout to quell a patent dispute over its iPod digital music player, the company announced on Friday that it had also put to rest an unrelated patent infringement case targeting its iTunes software.

The terms of the settlement reached with Contois Music Technology LLC were not disclosed in court documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont, where the case has been ongoing since last year.
