Clear Channel Accused Of Taxi Ad Monopoly In NYC

Law360 (March 18, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A rival taxi advertising company has sued Clear Channel Taxi Media LLC for allegedly attempting to establish a monopoly on rooftop advertising featured on New York cabs.

In a complaint filed Friday in the New York County Supreme Court, Clear Channel is accused of unfairly booting rival Astra Media Group LLC from the market for rooftop advertising for taxis by influencing the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, the city's taxi regulatory body.
