Warner Chilcott Sues Impax Again In Doryx IP Spat

Law360 (March 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Warner Chilcott Ltd. subsidiary has slapped Impax Laboratories Inc. with a second patent infringement lawsuit over Impax's effort to sell a generic version of the oral antibiotic Doryx, which is used to treat acne, Warner Chilcott announced Thursday.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, alleges infringement of U.S. Patent. Number 6,958,161, the drugmaker said.

Warner Chilcott has hit other generic-drug makers in recent months with similar Doryx-related lawsuits.
