Court Puts Hold On Berkeley Lab Building Project

Law360, New York (March 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has temporarily halted a large building project planned by the University of California, Berkeley, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, granting the preliminary injunction request of a conservation group.

On Wednesday, Judge William Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted a limited preliminary injunction in the case, blocking any action that will disturb the land designated for the building site without prior court approval.
