ITC Eyes Kodak Cameras Over Samsung IP Claims

Law360 (March 19, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into whether Eastman Kodak Co.’s handheld digital cameras infringe two patents held by Korea-based electronics giant Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

The ITC confirmed Thursday that it would look into allegations raised by Samsung and its U.S. unit in a Feb. 17 complaint that Rochester, N.Y.-based Kodak violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act by importing and selling certain cameras in the U.S. that use Samsung’s patented technology.
