Juniper Says TC Heartland Backs Axing Blue Spike Patent Suit

Law360, Houston (May 30, 2017, 7:01 PM EDT) -- Juniper Networks Inc. told a Texas federal judge that based on the U.S. Supreme Court's recent decision in TC Heartland v. Kraft Foods, limiting where patent suits can be filed, he must dismiss the massive patent infringement lawsuit brought against it by patent-holding company Blue Spike LLC.

Juniper told U.S. District Judge Robert W. Schroeder III on Friday that the TC Heartland decision held that patent infringement suits can only be brought in a district where the defendant is incorporated or where the defendant has a regular and established place of business where the alleged acts of infringement are committed....
