Class Certified In $25M XTO Natural Gas Royalty Case

Law360, New York (March 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has certified a class of royalty interest owners seeking more than $25 million in damages from XTO Energy Inc. and accusing the company of underpaying royalties for natural gas from certain wells.

Judge Tim Leonard of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma signed an order on Friday granting a bid for class certification in the case, which was originally filed in an Oklahoma state court in October 2004.
