5th Circ. Says Prof's Anti-Tenure Speech Is Protected

Law360, Houston (June 2, 2017, 6:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit determined Thursday that a Texas Tech University professor who alleged he was retaliated against in violation of the First Amendment for his anti-tenure writings can bring claims against the current and former deans, but held that the public university is immune from suit.
