Inventors Win $5M Settlement In Dispute Over Dental Implant Technology

Law360, New York (February 10, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two dentists who invented a groundbreaking technology for replacing lost teeth have won settlements of over $5 million from four pharmaceutical companies they had sued for patent infringement, their legal counsel said.

Leonard Linkow and Anthony Rinaldi, who created the technology and formed V.P. Intellectual Properties L.L.C. (VPIP), penned a final settlement with Nobel Biocare USA and Implant Innovations, according to Darby & Darby, their law firm.
