Senate May Get A Look At Pequot Papers

Law360, New York (August 29, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After weeks of asking, Senate Finance Committee members may soon get their hands on documents relating to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's investigation of Pequot Capital Management.

In a closed meeting held Tuesday, the Commission was said to have voted on whether to turn over documents relating to insider trading allegations levied against the hedge fund and its executives.

Since the meeting was not public, the results of the vote are not known.
